Google's Santa Tracker (which has apparently been around for 12 years) is launched on December 1st as a way for users to celebrate the season. This year, they've outdone themselves! Set up like a traditional advent calendar, Google unlocks a new surprise every day. It could be a video, game, or educational activity. There appears to be several fun coding activities that I'm going to be sure to try, and I encourage you to let your students try them as well! There's also a section for educators - complete with lesson plans. Then, on December 24th, the Tracker goes live allowing users to follow Santa on his trip around the world! This year, they'll be showcasing Santa's dashboard, which "features the latest and greatest in Google Maps technology and sleigh engineering." Users following Santa's progress will also get to learn more about his stops along the way!
Be sure to check it out and HAVE FUN!!!
