This morning, I stumbled across an interesting blog post that was too good not to pass along. Expanding on a prior post in which he demonstrated how to use Vocabulist, Richard Byrne (from Free Tech for Teachers) highlights ten online tools that help students learn vocabulary words. While several of them were specifically for middle and high school students and were great for | |
the preparation of standardized tests (i.e. SAT and ACT prep), there were several that targeted the elementary grades. Take a minute to peruse the list. Hopefully, you'll find a resource that strikes your fancy! I've also included his video about Vocabulist and some additional links and resources. Enjoy!

This new, free educational app from the makers of Shadow Puppet allows students to easily create private learning journals. The journals can combine digital and physical work in one place and can be shared with parents. Real-time change notifications are sent to parents so they can see what their child has done at school. This would be a great tool for documentation and for parent conferences! Watch the video below for a short introduction, click here to learn more, and let me know if you need help getting started! |
